Friendly staff. Carne asada was really good. We bought a few pounds of the already seasoned and it was really tasty. We don't live in Idaho Falls, we live about an hour away, but if we are ever in IF we will continue to stop in and buy their carne asada!

Really like the food here. Tacos are quite good. I like food with beef steak. I love the burrito which I think is the best around Idaho falls.

Garcia's Meat Market is one of those places that can work it's way into your heart. When you first walk in, you'll think you're in the wrong place. Keep walking to the back. Be careful to avoid regular meal times, go early or a touch later as this place is popular. It's one of those quaint hole in the wall type restaurants. I ordered cheese enchiladas. I love cheese enchiladas and am pretty picky about how they taste, but this place looked like they'd do it right. I was not disappointed! Delicious, perfectly seasoned, and my mouth still waters when I think about it. My only complaint is I'm not a huge eater, and I had to choose between the beans and eating all the enchiladas. There were 3. We were traveling and so leftovers were not an option. Rats!! Mexican food is my favorite and next time I'm in Idaho Falls I'm heading straight to Garcia's!!!

Don't let the name or the appearance of the building fool you. This is one of the best little secrets in Idaho Falls. Located in the old Jewel Electric building, the restaurant is in the back of a Mexican store and meat market. However, therein lies their secret. They use the freshest of meats in all their dishes--and you can really taste the difference. The menu is big, but not as big as the flavors. They have all the traditional entrees, with a selection of 7 or 8 meats. Everything is very reasonably priced. I tried a bunch of different things, but the standouts were the spicy pork and chorizo tacos. Their chorizo was sooo good, as was the pork--perhaps the best I've ever tasted. The robust flavors are the direct result of having a butcher shop on site. It would be easy to overlook this place . . . but don't. This is some of the best, freshest Mexican food in the Upper Valley.
